Meet the Team

  • Brian Schmitt

    Dr. Brian Schmitt is a nationally certified school superintendent with over twenty-five years of classroom and leadership experience. He has expertise in leadership development, school improvement, instructional design, facilities management, community schools, grant writing, and board-superintendent relationships.

    Dr. Schmitt served as Superintendent of the Genesee Valley Central School District for over twelve years and presents regularly at local, state, and national conferences. He resides in Mendon, New York.

  • Robert Breidenstein

    Mr. Breidenstein has 38 years of experience in education and served as Superintendent of the Salamanca City School District until his retirement in 2022. He currently serves as Executive Director of the New York State Association of Small City School Districts.

    He is widely recognized as an educational turnaround specialist with expertise in student achievement, strategic planning, finance, advocacy, leadership transitions, and labor relations.

  • Josh Meyer

    Dr. Meyer is New York State’s leading expert on school district reorganizations. As Superintendent of Boquet Valley Central School District, he led a successful reorganization and has advised nearly every district considering reorganization in recent years.

  • Ravo Root

    Dr. Ravo Root III brings 32 years of experience in education, including 13 years as a School Superintendent. He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Syracuse University. His areas of expertise include leadership development, superintendent searches, community schools, school improvement, middle-level education, alternative education, labor relations, staffing and negotiations.

    Throughout his career, Dr. Root has developed, partnered with, and led exceptional teams of educators committed to improving student outcomes. Under his leadership, two schools earned recognition as both State and National Schools to Watch. Pioneer Middle School received this distinction in 2008 while he served as Principal, and Camden Middle School earned the honor in 2023 while he served as Superintendent.

  • Kristin Dudek, Ed.D

    Dr. Kristin Dudek serves as the Chief of Student Supports and Information for the Salamanca City Central School District, where she oversees comprehensive student support systems, including special education, data reporting, attendance, health services, and compliance.

    With nearly three decades of experience spanning classroom instruction, district leadership, and statewide collaboration, Dr. Dudek brings deep expertise in special education administration, grant management, and data-driven decision-making.

    Her work is grounded in equity-focused research and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for historically marginalized students, particularly in rural and high-need communities.

  • John Evans

    Mr. Evans is a seasoned educational leader with over 32 years of experience driving collaborative excellence and innovation in New York State school districts. He is known for his strategic vision and leadership in district mergers and shared services, including serving as the only superintendent in NYS history to lead a three-district shared services agreement.

    John played a pivotal role in the successful merger of the Roscoe and Livingston Manor districts and served as the inaugural acting superintendent of the new Rockland Central School District. He resides in New York and is available to support schools and communities in new leadership capacities.

  • Michael Wetherbee

    Mr. Wetherbee is an experienced special educator and school leader with over 26 years of experience, including 19 years as a Superintendent of Schools. He brings strong expertise in special education, school psychology, and district operations, with a background that includes roles as a School Business Official and Director of Pupil Personnel Services.

    Michael is passionate about creating inclusive educational environments and works closely with stakeholders to develop programming and best practices that support all learners. He holds degrees from SUNY Geneseo, Alfred University, and SUNY Brockport, and resides in New York.
